Défixion, Gaëlle Choisne

Following her residency at the Lattara Archaeological Site - Henri Prades Museum, Gaëlle Choisne presents the exhibition Défixion, a term which designates an ancient practice of bewitchment.

The exhibition, which will bring together recent or unpublished works in dialogue with the museum's collection, pays tribute to the gestures of excavating or restoring objects. Through the gap and anachronism, Gaëlle Choisne invents the archeology of the future.

On an invitation from:
Nicolas Bourriaud, Director of MO.CO. Montpellier Contemporain
Diane Dusseaux, Curator and Director of the Lattara Archaeological Site - Henri Prades Museum

A graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Lyon, Gaëlle Choisne (1985, FR) lives and works in Paris and London. She is involved, with various private and public institutions, in alternative projects, collective projects but also extra-cultural projects in Haiti.
